Golden Era Inspiration
Billy Fuller has been a student of Golden Era Golf Design principles for 40 years, starting as Golf Course Superintendent at Augusta National Golf Club 1981 to 1986. He departed Augusta immediately following Jack Nicklaus’s ’86 Master’s win to pursue his lifelong dream of golf course architecture with world-class architect Robert E. “Bob” Cupp. He made many trips to Scotland and England while designing two courses in England, studying the works of the founding fathers of strategic design. He continued studies across North America while assisting Cupp with more than one hundred new golf courses and 30 plus renovations.
